Please begin in Step 1: Communicate Openly. The first topic is "Accepting Your Elder." Click on this link, and a new window will open. It may take a little while to load completely. You will then see the title card, and hear a welcome message from Dr. Marion. A "continue" button will appear, and once you click that, you'll be taken to the next screen. After each message or video, that "continue" button will appear, notifying you that it's time to move onto the next screen. Once you have gone through the topic, you will reach a screen that reads, "You have completed this section." Simply click on the "x" just underneath the right corner of the E-Learning screen, and this will bring you back to the E-Learning home page. From here, follow these same steps to complete the other topics featured in Step 1. Then proceed with each following step (2 through 10), in order. Then, complete the Additional Information topics.

Once you're finished, you'll be prepared to face the many challenges of caregiving!

NOTE: Some of the topics will contain links to checklists, which contain more helpful tips. These will open in a separate tab or window, and you can then print them out, to use as a reference.
