At the 2010 National Service Coordinator Conference, Dr. Marion presented a workshop on Universal Design: The Future of Aging In Place.

With life expectancy on the rise, the need to make homes and facilities safer and more accessible for the aging population is crucial. Dr Marion believes that one cutting-edge movement- universal design- is poised to alter the landscape of community interior and exterior architecture as we know it. In this presentation, Dr Marion will provide a background on universal design and her expert insight as to why this has the potential to soften the impact of the geriatric tsunami headed our way.
